What is Insomnia, Sleeplessness? How to get rid form sleeplessness by Ayurveda

Introduction:-

Insomnia means lack of natural sleep. The main reason for this mentally. If you do not sleep because of bedbugs, then you will say insomnia but do not give it the name of this disease because to get rid this type of insomnia not to consume medicines but to kill bedbugs. The other common reason is following
"Insomnia" also the cause of many diseases


Causes:- 

As it has been said above, its main cause is linked to mentally and brain. So fear, Suspicion, Shock, Anxiety, and Nervousness etc. is the main reason for insomnia.

        (i)  Similarly, some people do not sleep due to more pleasure, excitement, festival etc. but it cannot be called mental disorder or mental illness because there is no any medicine required for that type of problems.
        (ii) If you waiting for someone you do not sleep until he comes or not have any news. It cannot give the name of insomnia because when it come the sleeps starts automatically. 
        (iii) There is any kind of pain or discomfort due to any disease, then it often starts sleeping due to the treatment of original disease but sometimes, until the basic disease does not come out under the control it is necessary to give sedative medicine or sleeping potion.
        (iv) Drinking more tea/coffee or taking stimulant medicine can reduce sleep.
        (v) Due to fast etc. the hunger will start and this is also a cause for sleeplessness.
        (vi) There are some diseases that lack sleeps like Typhoid, Influenza, Any kind of pain, Asthma, Tuberculosis etc.
        (vii) In addition to the above diseases, repeated urination of diabetic patients, Irritation and pain of cancer patient also the reason of sleeplessness.
        (viii) High blood pressure is also cause of insomnia.
        (ix) After 3 consecutive days and 4 nights waking up, the fourth night do not sleep even after wanting. Slowly sleep with difficulty.

Symptoms: - Whatever the causes of insomnia but you do not take full sleep the following symptoms appears:

  1. Feeling metal and physical fatigue. In this the patient becomes unable to do mental and physical work.
  2. Changes in the nature of the patient are seen such as Irritability; Anger (Resentment) signs are seen.
  3. He is mentally depressed, sad and sluggish.
  4. Does not eat or take less food due to dislike, resulting in the person is daily weakness.
  5. The physical strength as well as the brain becomes weak. Do not think about any topic and unable to take any decisions. Mental concentration is destroyed.
  6. Some people do not sleep in grouping and some are sleep in group but not sleep in alone. 
  7. Some people do not sleep in the absence of their beds and some are not sleep when change in the atmosphere.
  8. People with insomnia do not get sleepy and if it is coming then it in not permanent when slightly sound wake up immediately.
  9. Some people are a little sleepy by nature and some people cannot sleep more than due age (old age)

General guideline:- 

Find out the main reason for insomnia and treat them accordingly. 
  1. If any type of worry is the reason of insomnia, resolve it or if there is insomnia in case of someone death then solution is not possible but trying to give the examples. The success get will soon. 
  2. Advise rest for a few days to normalise the situation by having more mental effort. 
  3.  Sleep creates strength for work hard. So, do not think that the sleeping time is waste. If you get more sleep than possible sleep, you also lazy and fatigue. 
  4. If the head of the family has become a victim of insomnia due to family unrest, then any other component person in the family has duty to take charge for a few days and solve the problem. 
  5. Satisfy the patient with mental dose and arrange the entertainment of his mind.
  6. Suggesting friends who are of same age to be with them.
  7. Tiredness in the body leads to sleep. So motivate for physically hard word generally. 
  8. Drinking and bathing with cold water for insomnia is beneficial. Even before sleeping on the night, the head, knee down leg and knee below hand should wash.
  9. Diet should be eaten at least 2 hours before sleeping whereby the stomach lasts for sleeping.
  10. Lighten the food at night. Make a few stroll rules after the meal.
  11. Take a walk every morning to a little more distance than night. The walk of the time in the morning is definitely beneficial in all diseases.
  12. Eat digestible and nutritious diet. But do not take sour sweet and fast food and drink.
  13. Do not take drugs to any conditions to remove insomnia. This leads to less profit and loss.
  14. Avoid programs like Night Jagaran. Some people uses Tea, Coffee and Medicine when sleep at night. It is atrocious against the body. Never stop the natural sleep.
  15. Keep the leg in the rye mixed water for 20 to 25 minutes before sleeping. Sleep better than this. If you are taking any allopathic medicines, stop it. 
  16. Massage of nutritious almond oil on the head brings good sleep.
  17. Be tension free before sleeping as much as possible. For that make a rule to read books of your choice. It will help you for sleeping.
  18. If the patient is uneducated then put a photo in front of them and advise to him to see that photo with concentration both eyes. To do that work daily the eye get tired and brings good sleep.

Ayurvedic patent medicines:-

  1. Rogan Badam shirin (Indian Drug house):- It increases the functioning of the body and the brain is strong with disorders and sleep well. Give it 20 gm with 250 ml milk twice daily.
  2. Shankh Pushpi (Mukti Pharma):- Give the syrup 10 ml with lukewarm water twice a day. It makes good sleep by removing mental paralysis and impairment.
  3. Arjun Drops (Motherland):- Give 2 to 4 ml daily 3 times for 8 to 10 days.
  4. Relife (Indo-German):- Give 1-1 capsules twice a day with milk. It is beneficial in insomnia.

Ayurvedic classic Treatment:- 

  1. Nidrodye Ras:- Give 2 tablet with milk or water before sleep daily. This is the best sleep factor and pain inhibitors.
  2. Sarvgandhghan Vati:- Give 1 to 2 tablet with milk or water before sleep daily. Due to insomnia, tension, shock absorption or hypertension is beneficial for its regular use.
  3. Ark Dashmul:- Give 25 to 50 ml daily for four days muscle leukaemia goes away and sleeps well.
  4. Mahalakshadi Oil:- Massage with oil on head brings good sleep. 
  5. Mansadi Quath:- Give 25 to 50 ml with sarpgandha vati 1 tablet daily at night it is beneficial.

Home Remedies:-

  1. Grinding the bean seeds and applying it on forehead as balm and massage on the head of this oil is beneficial.
  2. Take the powder of celery 200-400 mg per equal quantity daily in the morning as well as evening, Insomnia is removed.
  3. Taking a small sandalwood powder 1-2 gm daily before taking it to sleep. Insomnia and high blood pressure are beneficial.
  4. Grind apple tree roots and take it as powder form 10-10 gm daily is beneficial to good sleep.
